Working With God’s Plan

joy2kenya_withblue[1]

Hi folks, I am honored to be sharing this with you at this moment it humbles me to know that many servants of God across the globe will be sharing the word of God, though from an unknown or little known slum called Mathare in Nairobi-Kenya. God’s Word is not a stranger here, you might not know me as a person or us as a ministry but the Word I bring is no stranger to you. I thank God because despite my weaknesses as a person and as a group we are not letting our situations control us in any way. We are preaching the Word to the ends of the earth from this slum, computers might lack, internet might lack, other amenities might lack but our God will remain our God. The way God works is a mystery to man, because as underprivileged as we are God has given us an opportunity to serve Him to another level through Journey to Joy Ministries International USA. Don’t ask me how we came to be connected because I will only tell that GOD did it. However my aim is not to amplify my/our weaknesses or shortcomings because God is aware of them, but I kindly ask you to receive our sincere Godly love and wish you happy reading and God will bless you for it.

Jeremiah 29:10~13

‘‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope’’.

God is the Creator of all things from the beginning, that is a fact no doubt about it; we were created according to His plan, not ours and all that we have we owe it to Him no matter what we think or believe. However sometimes man tries to take credit for life’s achievements and seem to have without due regard to the true origin of all possessions. Sometimes we accredit this success to hard work, efforts, diligence, intelligence, prudence e.t.c. other times we forget that that out there, there are people who are better than us in the particular field we work, who are sometimes more learned than we are, better qualified than we are but just by the favor of God we find ourselves in positions hold in companies, government or even self employment.

At times man wants all things to happen according to his expectations though he has no power within himself to fulfill them. When they fail, as they surely will, they always seek someone to blame for their failures, some blame their spouses, others their children, others their parents, others their relatives, others their economies, others government and others still blame themselves. The major reason for this is that man by himself is not capable of guiding his own heart or shaping his own destiny at all, it is not in his power to do so contrary to what people of this world believe. They need to start at the beginning, God, but we rarely do this until things backfire on us wasting a lot of valuable time. Man was not created to operate on a trial and error method, or even a multiple choice kind of life, he is created to operate in accordance to the creator’s specifications. Man always seeks shot cuts in life but God didn’t do that from the beginning because He is a God of order. When we look at the order of creation we see that He created everything at His own timing and was sure that everything was according to His specifications. We should therefore seek God’s will and plan in everything that we do, because there is one for sure and resist the temptations of following our thoughts.

Jeremiah 17:9

‘‘The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it?’’

Speaking on more truthful note, the Bible is categorical about the true position of man concerning his own heart, destiny and fate. His heart misleads him to believe that he is in control until he destroys himself. Without Salvation and guidance of Jesus Christ man can NEVER do any good at all. Every action of man is always tragic; everything we do outside what God has planned is sin and evil.

Proverbs 14:12;

‘‘There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the w ay of death.’’

Brother and sisters in Christ wherever you are; take heed to this scripture and be advised accordingly that in everything you do, all plans of men without approval from God will seem very good to you but finally will end up in a sure death. Entrust your plan to God first before you boast you can do this or do that because you do not belong to yourself but you are somebody’s property yourself. Cooperate with God’s plan, His word upon your life and He will prosper you always. God has put in place a formula for succeeding in this life without struggling or relying on humanistic efforts and thoughts;

2 Chronicles 20:20

‘‘So they rose early in the morning and went out into the Wilderness of Tekoa; and as they went out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, “Hear me, O Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem: Believe in the LORD your God, and you shall be established; believe His prophets, and you shall prosper.”

King Jehoshaphat was facing a challenge of his life, a looming war with more than three mighty armies, outnumbered in every aspect; he sought help not from any of his human allies but the only true and sure source of help, God. He knew for sure that everything his thoughts and mind told could only lead to one sure thing, failure and death, and by trusting God he was sure of salvation, success and victory because our God is a man of war; David said.

Job 36:11

‘‘If they obey and serve Him, They shall spend their days in prosperity, And their years in pleasures’’

This an assurance for those that don’t trust themselves and place everything to God, those that believe that God can heal their bodies, relationships, minds, souls, finances, children, relatives, economies, and everything. He can turn around disaster to blessing, failure to success, bad health of body to good health for He is above all situations.

Those that  believe God’s plan for their ministry is better than theirs; God’s plan for their families is better than theirs, God’s plan for their financial endowment is better than theirs,  God’s plan for their relationships is better than theirs, God’s plan for their country, Church, work place and everything is better than their own and according to this believe.

Luke 5:4~8

‘‘When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!”

Peter received the Word of Jesus Christ and acted upon it, he testified about his previous efforts to catch fish to no avail. When he accepted to enter into the plan of Jesus Christ he was able to receive his miracle. Peter was a man who had been a fisherman all his life, with his good days and bad days, fishing was his profession, by having spent the whole night in the lake shows that he was by no means a lazy man. He toiled all night, using all of his energy; efforts; patience; experience and thoughts but nothing came out of all that, until Jesus came along and not until he agreed to fit into Jesus’s plan did he succeed. He not only succeeded but succeeded beyond all expectations he ever had in his entire life.

We too, should always consider revising our plans and incorporate God’s plan first in everything we ever do. This way we will have lesser disappointments and heartaches in life, may it be at work, family, relationships, businesses, Church or Ministry.

God expects us to seek His guidance in every turn of our lives, for the plan He has for us is always better than our own in more ways than one.

May God bless you abundantly as you seek to find his plan for your lives individually and  collectively. May God also bless Journey to Joy for providing this platform to share His Word.
